Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations for Business, Business Person, and Citizenship Awards

The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for its Annual Awards ceremony.

These awards will be presented during the 60th Annual Chamber Dinner on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at the Mountain Valley Golf Course.

Citizenship Award:

• Eligibility: Individuals within the Tamaqua Area School District aged 18 or older.
• Criteria: Nominees must demonstrate voluntary contributions to the civic progress of Tamaqua and the welfare of its residents, without consideration of paid work.
• Special Consideration: The award is granted to living individuals at the time of selection. In case of a nominee's passing before the award presentation, they will still be considered for special recognition.

Business Person of the Year Award:

• Eligibility: Open to all business owners and professionals within the Tamaqua Area School District aged 18 or older.
• Requirement: Nominees should be associated with a Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce member business in good standing (dues paid for 2024).
• Special Note: The award is conferred upon living individuals selected. If a nominee passes away before the award presentation, they will be considered for a special tribute.

Business of the Year Award:

• Eligibility: Any Tamaqua Chamber Member business, including for-profit and non-profit enterprises.
• Requirement: Nominees must be linked to a Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce member business in good standing (dues paid for 2024).

The awards selection process involves a committee that evaluates nominations from various fraternal, social, religious, and civic organizations, as well as past award winners.
